It's also prone to getting stuck on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate rooms with lots of people efficiently during our tests. It doesn't also have a camera that can see around corners.

This is due to the combination of modern sensors, including a restructured light system, camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop mops.

Similar to Ecovacs range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that can take care of both vacuuming and mopping, with a multi-function dock that automatically emptys the vacuum's dustbin, refills its water tank, and washes and dries its mop pads.

The smart robot cleaner employs the combination of LIDAR and structured light to map out floor plans and spot obstacles, making it more efficient than some of its premium rivals. It also has a front mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time however this was not foolproof in our tests and was often confused with obstructions or power cords.

Its vacuum cleaner has the capacity to suction up to 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to do the job. It also features "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the amount of time the vacuum works and also adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home depending on the amount of dirt they are.
