1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its most notable innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It makes use of AI to recognize objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's the first robot to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, so you can tell the robot to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills effortlessly and leaves no trace of it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.

Its design is an improvement over the rest, with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy rather than a loud, loud one. Clean Base's automatic cleaning robot Dirt Disposal System is also self-emptying which will reduce your cleaning time.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ was quick to eliminated dirt, dust and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even was able to capture sand and small gravel that other robots aren't able to do. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.

While it's not quite as smart as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who need both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly.

Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and often it's difficult to tell whether the update actually working until you've seen it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum bot cleaner that can do more than simply clean floors, the best choice is probably hybrid. This kind of robot usually comes with a built-in tank for water which means they can mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. They also have a range of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The negative is that they tend to be expensive at retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.

Roborock makes some of our favorite robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't perform to the standards. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and although it's not equipped with certain features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing sacrifice a little to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like table legs and walls which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is a problem which many robot vacuum cleaner ebay vacuums often be a bit sloppy. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic too, with very little misses in corners and on walls.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled via only a few buttons on your device or via the Roborock App. With the app you can start and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map or change the labeling of rooms.

If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock designed specifically to make this robot easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once it's installed, the process of emptying the bin is relatively simple. It features a large LCD screen which is helpful for setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't a necessity for the majority of people, but it's one that can assist you in keeping track of the maintenance intervals for your robot effortlessly.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is among the most innovative in the market however, it's costly.

Its base station looks good and is hidden when it's not in use, and the size is relatively compact. The primary selling point of the station is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, chores and functions that other robots would leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require this.

And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tried that does an excellent job of collecting debris from unfinished floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's also not able to climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a dock that can create a cleaning area for carpets with plush padding.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need an automated vacuum that can do it all.

If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options available. Many of the eufy models cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive, but offers more features, such as stair climbing and a full-function Dock, which provides the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on bare floors, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums that have the right balance of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpeted floors, as well as mopping functions at a reasonable price. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. The app takes you through a few steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet with plenty of space to move.

The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it is able to be placed under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. The design is less ostentatious than some rival models, sporting sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Clean (which scrubs an area in an arc for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.

The most important characteristic that distinguishes the G30 above the rest is the method it cleans. It uses a built-in map to create an image of non-movable objects that are in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and where it can't access. It then returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.

The elegant G30 has its flaws however. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, offers the same battery life and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It has a bigger dust bin that doesn't require as much emptying. It also has boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30, however, is more affordable robot vacuum and much simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky material like cereal.
